Facility

The Yellow Brick House is a one level facility that is completely ramped and handicap accessible and features 18 Assisted Living and 14 Memory Care apartments. A variety of porches with comfortable seating, activity and craft areas, two dining areas, a main lobby with fireplace, and a formal area available for visiting or private parties complete the package.  Also included are a beauty salon, resident laundry area, private mailboxes, and wide attractive corridors with skylights.

Apartments

All apartments are one-room studios with approximately 330 square feet of living space. Each apartment features a private bath, two windows with blinds, two large closets and a kitchen area with refrigerator and cabinets. All assisted living apartments are fully carpeted.

Security

The facility features three security systems. A medic alert system in each room for emergency assistance, a general security system for safety, and an emergency alarm system for fire or emergency. All doors in the newer facility feature “panic bars” for exiting in an emergency and the Yellow Brick House conducts regular fire and emergency drills.

Grounds

The grounds of the Yellow Brick House are attractive and professionally maintained. They feature a paved walking path that encircles the facility, a fish pond, a large inviting front porch with rockers, a grape arbor with seating, and a variety of seasonally blooming plants as well as fruit bearing trees and vines.

Location

We consider one of our best assets to be location. One mile north of I-20, convenient to Conyers, Decatur and Snellville, we are five minutes from Stonecrest Mall, fifteen minutes from Rockdale Medical Center and five minutes from the new DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale. Combine all of this with active churches and the warmth and community feeling of a small town and you have a winner.
