Assisted Living

In service to seniors since 1988, the Yellow Brick House is a leader in the field of Personal Care, offering an attractive secure nurturing environment while giving residents and families support, independence and value for their dollar.  Family owned and operated, we are able to give that personal touch lacking in so many businesses today.

Requirements for Residency

The Yellow Brick House is in service to seniors.  Our average age for residents is 85 years, and we ask that prospective clients be 65 years or older. The State of Georgia requires that residents living in this level of care be ambulatory and able to evacuate from the building in case of emergency with minimal assistance.  This means that even if the resident uses a wheelchair, walker or cane they must be able to leave the building unassisted and get around independently.

Other requirements to become a resident are an interview between the facility administrator/manager and potential client to determine if assisted living is the appropriate level of care, a physician’s report filled out within 30 days of admission and a tuberculin test or chest X-ray with a negative reading.

Standard Services

Our Monthly service fee includes trained personnel on duty 24 hours a day, 3 nutritious meals daily plus snacks, medication management, housekeeping weekly with linens, towels, tissue, soap and light bulbs included, trash removal, maintenance, laundry, assistance with medical and dental appointments, transportation to scheduled appointments, weekly shopping trips, monthly activity calendar and assistance with social and leisure activities. Special diets are available with physician’s orders as well as home nursing care. Other services are available at an extra charge such as bathing, hairdressing, manicures and pedicures.
